Welcome to the Flying Nest

Delisa Myles (creative director) and Earl Duque (operations)

Delisa Myles is a dancer, choreographer and educator. She has developed and taught in the dance program at Prescott College since 1994. She has particular interests in improvisation, composition and dance in collaboration with the natural world. She has done extensive work with intergenerational performance and her work has been funded by Arizona Commission on the Arts and featured in The Utne Reader. Delisa is a founding member of Human Nature Dance Theatre and also a freelance collaborator. Locally she is a part of the collaborative trio ABD Dance with Breanna Rogers and Ashley Fine. For the last six years she has been studying and teaching Argentine tango with her husband, Earl Duque. Delisa’s dance interests have continually led her to create ways to connect people with one another, to cultivate expression and acceptance of the reality of the changing body, and to love and experience the world with increasingly deeper sensitivities. Her creative practice currently includes meditation, photography and gardening. She has a M.F.A. in Choreography and Performance from the University of Colorado. Check out

Earl Duque has been dancing ballroom, salsa and lindy hop for over 25 years and has been focused on Argentine Tango for 17 of those years. When he's not dancing he works as a rocket scientist developing the latest methods in fluid dynamic simulations and finding better ways to grow the perfect tomato. Earl has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a specialty in numerical methods and aerodynamics.
