7:00PM: "The how to’s of the closed embrace": the technique of dancing in a closed embrace, how to transition to closed embrace comfortably, how to return to an open embrace, how to work on the closed embrace from the perspective of the traditional tango.
Saturday February 20, 2016
1:00-2:30PM: "Traditional resolutions": We will take a look at ways of closing or ending figures (called resolutions) that have all but disappeared. It will create new possibilities for your tango and will make it richer.
3:00-4:30PM: "Musicality: Your Figures and steps according to different orchestras"
Every orchestra sounds a bit different, so if we want to understand the musicality, we will see that every orchestra will be danced to slightly differently as well! We will have a broader understanding of musical phrasing and orchestra differences.
4:30-6:00PM - Practica
